Accessing funding to make change happen in your area of Birmingham
June 2024: The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities (DLUHC) is offering grants and technical support packages to groups who are preparing a Neighbourhood Plan. Locality is managing this programme, which can award basic grant funding of up to £10,000 and, in certain cases, additional grant funding of up to £8,000. Find out more at the Locality website.
And do talk to Birmingham City Council’s Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit during your Neighbourhood Planning journey. The team will know whether there is any further funding to help you hire an independent planning specialist.
Having a professional planner to work with you will ensure your Neighbourhood Plan contains realistic, workable policies and conveys your community’s wishes using the correct terminology.
